In January, I moved from Chicago to Manhattan. I have temporarily rented a room in Washington Heights, a neighborhood within Harlem. In between looking for work, I would spend my time wandering Manhattan. I began with Harlem and slowly moved down the island. Soon I found myself in the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn wandering neighborhoods I knew nothing about.
I see many things in these images. I see light, geometry, urban art and decay. I see something that was and something that is.
I see my new home. I see this as just the beginning.
