A walk on Market from Van Ness to Powell Station

Van Ness newsboxes Market Street is my muse. The landscape changes from block to block, providing glimpses into the beauty and the despair that is San Fancisco.

I haven't felt well enough until recently to pinhole. It takes a clarity of mind and patience that were lacking in my life as my tyrannical thyroid ran riot in the first eight months of 2004. My Graves' disease is now in remission and I'm once again spending more time wandering the streets with my cameras.

Tech Notes
Zero Image 50mm 4 x 5 pinhole with Polaroid Type 59 film (expired), varying exposures.

About Heather Powazek Champ

Heather Powazek Champ My earliest memories are of both my parents, camera in hand, documenting every aspect of my youth. Something must have stuck because I typically leave the house with no less than three cameras. A Canadian living in San Francisco, I've been told that I no longer sound "vaguely foreign," though any word ending in "out" tends to blow my cover.
