A Classic, by Rachel James
Macro Flowers, by Heather Stanfield
Macro Flowers

I bought a macro lens in the summer of 2004, and after photographing flowers at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, I fell in love with it. There are details in the natural world that are amplified with a macro lens, and the intricacy of the natural world is just amazing.

Tech Notes
Canon EOS 300D with Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro lens.

About Heather Stanfield

Heather! With my physics geek tendencies, I have always been drawn to the technical and scientific aspects of photography. The cost of film processing was always prohibitive, but the purchase of a digital camera in May 2002 reignited my love. As a resident of the Washington, DC metro area, I have lots to photograph, and I love to travel to random and interesting places in the world.
