I have always been fascinated by trains. As a child, I spent a week each summer fishing with my grandfather and playing by the railroad tracks that passed behind his home. I could feel the ground shake beneath my feet as the trains rumbled by. I miss those days, but I remember them with my camera. The ground shaking beneath my feet and the sound pounding against my chest is alive within these photos. This series of photos was taken between July 2002 and August 2003. It includes local scenes, as well as images from railroad attractions in my area.
