You hand over five or ten bucks to crowd into a tiny room and squeeze up to the front of it where a stage is set with mountains of equipment. When the lights finally go down just prior to the performer taking the stage, you hold your ground and cock your shutter. In this case it's one of those fancy shmancy high-end digital cameras, but the end result is the same. It takes talent and instinct to capture performers at their best. Using only ambient light and whatever stage lighting is involved, precision is the key to getting beautiful images filled with as much energy as if you were there.

I'm a photographer from Toronto who has a fetish for toy cameras. I love the blur, the nostalgia, and being able to create something that is different. On the other end of the spectrum, I also love my Canon 10D and Rebel which are clean, precise and detailed.
I have both a photoblog and a portfolio site. I am also the founder of gtabloggers.com, a community of Toronto based bloggers and photobloggers.
