Abandoned well house

Over the past six months my interest in photographing abandoned places has grown considerably. I really can't explain the reasons why except to say that I do enjoy the solitude is provides while photographing.

As is usually the case, I tend to find these places with no prior knowledge of there existence. I trust my intuition to lead me to them, and so far, have had considerable success.

This particular building is an old "well house" complete with hand pump and water filled hole in the ground. It's location is visible from the road this time of year, though I suspect not once the foliage emerges.

I pulled eleven images together from the photographs taken to create this series. I hope you enjoy them.

About Ron Cillizza

Ron Cillizza Photography has been an interest of mine for quite a while, though it wasn't until I enrolled in my first photography class while attending college in the early 1980s that I truly understood its potential.

In the past several years since I've been using digital camera technology, my interest in photography has grown considerably. Though I do still enjoy using film cameras on occasion, the digital camera just seems to be a better fit these days. Perhaps it's because of my background in graphic design and the daily use of computers in my work.
